Burials in marked graves
L to Z

The record of marked graves is not the same as the register of burials.  Many burials, especially infants, went unmarked or were marked with wooden crosses that have since rotted.  In 1996 the Buckinghamshire Family History Society recorded the inscriptions and locations of the graves.  Exact dates and other details will be added to this list from the registers as time permits.

The plot numbers match a plan of the churchyard which will be difficult to put online, but the A numbers start on your right as you come through the gate and end with the hexagonal 'Leigh Bennett vault' at the far South East of the church.  The C numbers start to the left of the gate and include everything to the north of the church.  The Sector code may be more help.  South East (SE) means to your left as you stand at the church door, South West (SW) means to your right as you stand there, and North (N) means anything you cannot see when standing there.  (C) after the sector indicates a cremation tablet.  WM means the War Memorial, FM the Franckyshe Memorial, and EW the East Window, all inside the church and not, of course, actual graves.
